About me
As well as being a certified ADHD and licensed career coach I am also a proud mother to teenage daughter who also has ADHD. We live by the calming sea, surrounded by our two crazy dogs. Which is beautifully chaotic and also magical.
I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2017 after facing numerous challenges including imposter syndrome, procrastination, and strong sense that I had not reached my full potential. My personal journey towards understanding and managing my ADHD, working with my strengths inspired me to change my career.
In late 2021, I made the bold decision to leave my stable job in the NHS mental health services to pursue my passion and start A Sea of Hope Coaching. It was a leap of faith, but I've never looked back. Now, I'm dedicated to empowering other ADHD adults to unlock their full potential and find clarity and confidence in their careers.

My Journey
First Job
My first job came about unexpectedly, when my sister found me a training role in the retail industry. From there, I went on to work in a diverse array of fields - care work, banking, call centres, recruitment, supported employment, and even starting my own businesses, a vinyl record shop and dance music events.
Looking for Purpose
Throughout it all, I continued searching for my true calling. I trained to become both a childminder and a life coach whilst on maternity leave, hoping to find a sense of purpose. Little did I know, my life was about to take an unexpected turn.
Diagnosis (age 43)
After many years, a lifetime of struggling with anxiety, depression (I now know this was burnout) frustration, feeling different, feeling like I didn't fit in anywhere, losing everything, chronic lateness and a huge feeling that I had not reached my full potential I stumbled across an article on ADHD in women. That was the day my life changed, my diagnosis journey started then, and it my whole life began to make sense.
My True Purpose
It was after receiving my own ADHD diagnosis and undergoing a year of ADHD coaching that everything clicked into place. I realised that this was my true purpose - to help others like myself navigate the complexities of living and thriving with ADHD.
Leaving School
I've had a varied and winding career path, marked by both challenges and triumphs. After a difficult time in school, I left with very few qualifications and a deep sense of self-doubt. I had no clear idea of what I wanted to do with my future.
Taking a leap of faith
In late 2021, I made the bold decision to leave my stable job in the NHS mental health services to pursue my passion and start A Sea of Hope Coaching. It was a leap of faith, but I've never looked back. Now, I'm dedicated to empowering other ADHD adults to unlock their full potential and find clarity and confidence in their careers.
My purpose and a common theme throughout my life has always been helping people. I believe greatly in hope, so much so that my daughter, who was a miracle baby is called Hope!
Hope and humour have become a vital part of my journey. I love to surround myself with people who make me laugh and bring me joy. Positivity can go a long way in navigating the ups and downs of life with ADHD.
After working as an ADHD Coach for 18 months, I found myself working more and more with clients on their Careers. I realised that this path was my passion and purpose.
When I came across Firework Training for Career Coaches, I was unsure whether to become a Licensed Firework Coach, and whether it would add to my experience. However it is one of the best decisions I have ever made, the combination of my ADDCA training and Firework training compliment each other perfectly.
